North Bay Rehabilitation Services, Inc. (NBRS) offers a site-based Activity Center for adults with developmental disabilities at 5720 Labath Avenue, Rohnert Park. Consumers are matched with their personal interest, abilities and stamina to several activity choices. An Activity Associate assigned to each group of six individuals with disabilities will assist in choosing the activities. Activity Associates are qualified, experienced employees who have chosen a career path with North Bay Industries. Each Associate is CPR and First Aid certified and attends regular training seminars to enhance service delivery to our consumer population. Activities: Consumers will be able to make activity choices that increase their ability to make independent decisions. For example, a consumer will make daily choices in creative, vocational, life skills and community activities. Compensated Work: Among the activities offered by NBRS Activity Center is compensated work. Packaging, assembly, collating and labeling are typical of the work opportunities offered. Work is offered in a group setting with an opportunity to interact with non-disabled workers. Who is Eligible? Services are designed mainly for adults with disabilities who prefer a combination of life enhancing activities and continued vocational training. How Can You Sign Up? Interested and eligible individuals (his or her parents, teacher or care provider) should contact the Client Program Coordinator/Case Manager and ask that a referral be made to NBRS.
